According to Ramsar convention . “Wetlands are water locked areas with seasonal on permanent presence of water, static or floating fresh water or brackish or saline water, natural or manmade inlands or coastal and those coastal wetlands where depth of water should not exceed 6 metes of low tide” It contains hydric soil resulting into anaerobic conditions. There is presence of hydrophilic vegetation for ex.
