Carbon Border tax

 first of its kind carbon border tax ( in European Union has specific plan to introduce in 2026 for compani es outside the European Union with industrial materials ie Steel ,Cement ,fertiliser & Aluminium for carbon intensive  goods .

European union wants these companies to adopt carbon friendly industrial system for which they provide certificate s on that they have to pay money from outsider companies if they ar exporting to it. And in return they will give certificates to respective companies if they are not following the norms .

 Standard applicable for developed countries should not apply to developing countries.

Since they have used word adjustment of money on carbon import to European. There is huge place of negotiations with countries like India.

European union is our second largest buyer of India so we have to take care of goods and services to export these countries .we are exporter of steel & Aluminium to EU but comparison to china and other countries is very less.

We should talk to EU & china and we protect our national interest at any cost over that place

Heaving practice of its may become policy for protection to European countries.

If our energy conservation converted into carbon taxes it is very harmful to our country and shocking for track of our country.

US and European are our largest market we have to protect it. We should mount challenge in WTO for developing countries.But it is easy way We  should directly talk to European Union bilaterally and we should prepared our selves for the issue for carbon Borde tax before COP 2026.

In Peris agreement we are countries who is completely on track and achieving our target regarding climate action &. carban emissions.US left it in 2019 during trump administration.

EU is left for negotiations with countries like India and other developing countries & continue to do negotiation for it bilaterally, on WTO platform & un platform.Since India is not primary target of European Union still we have to continue to tack about it cutting down emission.

Way Forward 

Russian & china are prime target of European Union for carbon border tax of European Union still we should Prepared for any things happening in European Union and other countries tor  industrial export & import regarding on carbon emission as well as other relations with countries. Because policyThere is nothing personal relation everything is profit of respective countries.
